What is the Building Envelope? The building envelope plays the most critical role of any element to enhancing the sustainability of a structure. All of the major components of the building envelope must work together to secure the environmental plane of the building. The building envelope must be designed to keep the outside out and the inside in. Only then can the interior environment be effectively managed. Building envelope products we offer include commercial roofing, continuous building insulation, exterior products, rainscreen assemblies, waterproofing and concrete products.
Choosing the right elements of the building envelope is important but the job is not complete until they have been designed to connect with each other. Once the designing and specifying of products to be used is complete then the administration and inspection of the systems installation must be done.
