2020 Virtual Education Days: Join Chapter Leaders of Ohio Valley Chapter IIBEC as they present the Fundamentals of Roofing: Critical Factors In Design in FOUR separate 90 minute sessions! 

The program is an overview of the 23 critical factors of roof design according to the NRCA Roofing Manual and the rights and responsibilities of the major project stakeholders in using them to develop a roofing project. All sessions are IIBEC and AIA approved.

Session Schedule and Details 
*All sessions run 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM Eastern

Tuesday, November 10th - Introduction - Understanding the key stakeholders of a roofing project and the stages of the Facility Lifecycle as defined by the Construction Specifications Institute along with understanding and remembering the 23 factors of roofing design defined by NRCA.

Tuesday, November 17th - Design Stage Factors - Understanding the role of the Roofing System Designer in the roofing project, the types of construction documents required for a roofing project and the factors of roof design that apply specifically to the design stage.

Tuesday, November 24th - Construction Stage Factors - Understanding the role of the Roofing Contractor and Manufacturer in the roofing project, the types of construction documents required for a roofing project and the factors of roof design that apply specifically to the construction stage. (This session taught by REPS President, Bill Spencer)

Tuesday, December 1st - Facility Use Factors - Reviews the issues that affect the owner's team after the facility is constructed and occupied, including maintenance, repairs, sustainability, and the owner's evolving future needs. The presentation concludes with a discussion of important design factors not covered by the NRCA list, but which may be added in the future.
